severe discomfort, trouble sitting, lying down--any treatment suggestions

My sister is recently starting to have severe discomfort and trouble sitting and lying down. It's not clear if it's pain or some other sensation or if such areas just have trouble with pressure being put on them. Has anyone ever had this problem?

It's really starting to be a serious problem for us, which is escalating her emotional distress.

I don't know the answer but I'm so sorry for your sister and can only imagine what she and all of you are going through. In my thoughts.

Thanks . we'll give the magnesium a try.

I hope it helps.  I honestly don't think she can take much more of this suffering.  I'm terrified we aren't going to get through it.

the discomfort first showed up back in Dec, but it wasn't that bad, it was tolerable.  We used to have calm morning and evenings. All of the sudden within the past week, it just got so bad--she wakes up moaning and now is yelling again.  I honestly think this withdrawal process is too horrific for an MR person to cope with--they just don't have the same coping skills
