Can someone help me figure out what happened to me....I was fully functional last spring until I started having GI problems. I took a probiotic and I think that triggered my panic. I went to the devil doctor who rx'd Clonazepam. I took it throughout April then once I learned it was a benzo, returned to him for help getting off of it. He rx'd Lexapro. At the first taste of the med, I went into hysterics crying. This did not let up even when stopped. I then proceeded to take myself down too quickly on the Clonazepam which led to a week of no sleep. Returning to the doctor, I was told to go back on to the Lexapro-that I hadn't given it enough time. I did this and again, the hysterical crying, dp/dr, fears, high anxiety, panic...etc...I decided to check myself into a clinic for "help". Of course, they did nothing but take me off the Clonazepam-added Ativan and Prozac in place of the Lexapro. Again, nothing...no relief. I felt as if I was taking a sugar pill. Yet, the hysterical crying has persisted to this day. It is the worst of my symptoms. I'm off of Ativan and Prozac now seven weeks but no relief. I just still have the crazy, erratic crying.....My question is...why, did the meds not work from the start? Why did I suffer the whole time on and now off? Will there be an end or is this just the beginning of relentless suffering?
