Can anybody help me please. My PoTS Neurologyst wants me back on Clonazepam. He said my head pressure and headaches are from POTS and I am not sure I can belive that. I am now 50% better than when I quit benzo 4 months ago. He also said that I should take Clonazepam for the rest of my life. I don't know what to do but I think He is wrong and that all the head symptoms will go away. I can't imagine going back on benzos. I did have some headaches and hungover feeling before clonazepam but nothing like post withdrawal.

I guess the best thing to do is find another opinion from a different doctor if you can.

How will the klonopin help that? Most doctors are just naive. They don't realize those meds ALTER your brain chemistry. If they did and if we knew all the facts before we resorted to this way of coping, or sleeping or whatever reason you were placed on it, we would have never swallowed them. In my opinion when something makes you so sick to come off, how good can it be? There has to be another way. Again, just MY OPINION.

Nikky, you need to run and not walk away from this Dr. Cancel any appt, you have with him. FIRE him.

I am also at four months post jump. I have good days and bad days, but I am doing much better than way back at the beginning when I was in tolerance withdrawal. There is no way I would let any Dr. reinstate me ever again. That would be crazy as the benzo and the damage caused to the nerves are what got me into this hellhole.

If it were me, I would go to the appointment, and tell that doctor to go fuck himself and also tell him to take clonazepam for a long time and then try to quit - and then let you know how he feels.  I'd also tell him that he won't get a red cent for the office visit, because he doesn't know shit and is trying to ruin your life.

Sorry, that's just what I'm going to do in the future with all ignorant medical "professionals"..
