It's been about a month since I took my last Klonopin. The first few weeks were really, really difficult. Now I have windows of time where I feel ok but not great. The rest of the time I'm anxious and tired. I was on benzos for a very long time, and I think the Prozac I take is helping a bit, but I still feel really vulnerable and scared. I just need to hear that things will get better because I'm in a rough spot right now. Thanks for any and all advice/help.

Congrats on being off K for about a month! Hooray!

I am now 21 months off Klonopin after 20 years of once/day use for insomnia. My wd has been very long and very brutal with intense burning, paresthesia, spasms and anxiety. I still have these symptoms but at a much reduced level and I can see how much I have improved and recovered.  I can tell you, without a doubt, that you will get better. To feel vulnerable and scared is a normal part of wd and you are coping. I felt the same way, too. Try to stay busy and engaged in activities, even if its just cleaning a room or sorting through old papers and cloths. Daily walking is one of the best habits I got into, starting in early wd, to stay physically active and help get through bad days. I have found it challenging to stay in shape during wd, and walking sure helps. So does very gentle stretching when you start feeling better.

Be of good cheer. Every day post-K is a good day. You are on your way to recovery.

Great job getting off the benzos. Just hang in there things will get better for you, it just takes time.

I was on klonopin for a long time, too, and yes! It gets better! I have many days when I feel completely normal now. I still have nighttime panic attacks - probably always will as that is one of the reasons I started taking klonopin in the first place - but most of my symptoms are now gone (although I do feel some sensory overload at times...).

Hang in there - it can take some time but it does get better!
