Ok, so I'm ten days without klonopin. I went to detox. They put me on phenobarbital which did absolutely nothing.

I'm going through all the psychotic thoughts I had when I was in jail in detox after massive meth usage. I lost my marbles then I I have my OCD fear saying maybe it will never get better. UGH I HATE THIS. Wulp has anyone here ever had a past psychosis and once you got off any benzo you started going through those thoughts all over again.

Right now you are in the acute phase of withdrawal. This is when symptoms are their very worst and can be severe following a detox. The acute phase on average lasts about 6 weeks with some marked improvement felt after and a gradual healing process past that. I also did a phebarbitol detox so i know first hand the horrors it can bring. I truly thought i was losing my mind during the acute phase, and that i was going insane. Once past the acute phase I knew I could make it through any symptoms. Things are going to get better. :smitten: Hang in there.

My best weapon of defense was distraction, distraction, distraction, even if it was for a minute at a time.
