Hi everyone. I am currently at 1.125mgs of Ativan dry cutting taper. I don't really go by any set time frame. Really go by how I feel, listening to my body. Anyway, I am considering when I get to 1 mg I may try to go over to titration daily micro. Since I only dose at night, I hope this might be doable. I am looking for suggested amounts to taper daily, but still maintain a decent rate if at all possible. Liquid taper seems so hard, yet, i have seen a lot of success stories.

Anyone?

1mg to 100ml of liquid right?

So for example if I were to take out 1ml of liquid that would leave 0.99mgs of Ativan correct?

As one gets lower then for example 0.5mgs to 50MLS, taking out 1ml would leave 0.49mgs of Ativan?

Also I know that water solubility really isn't fully possible with pill Ativan, but I don't like the idea of using alcohol. What about something like milk?

Thank you!

Liquid taper is very simple.  Dissolve your tablet in a suitable liquid, then measure out your daily dose, just as you would if you had a scrip for any liquid med.

Dissolve 10mg ativan in 20ml vodka or propylene glycol

Add 80ml water.

Now you 100ml liquid ativan, .1mg per ml.

If, for example, you want to cut 10% every 2 weeks...

1.25mg X 10% = .125mg

.125mg/14 days = .009mg/day  round up to .01mg/day

Your daily schedule would be ...

1.25mg (12.5ml)

1.24mg (12.4ml)

1.23mg (12.3ml)

1.22mg (12.2ml)

etc...

Your 100ml batch of liquid will be enough for  about 1 week.

PG will work just fine, but even if you use vodka, the max amount of vodka you would ever have to take would be 2.5ml, or 1/2 teaspoon.  And that would actually only be .2 tsp alcohol.  You get more alcohol than that in a glass of orange juice.
