Lupus as a false diagnosis during withdrawal?

My ANA test 2 weeks ago showed my number to be 1:80.  It is supposed to be less than 1:40.  Since this is an autoimmune test, I was told by the doctor that I could develop lupus.  Since then I have noticed a couple other people had that same diagnosis and FLIPRAIN told of getting this diagnosis at 3 months off of benzos and in the end (3.5 years later), not having the diagnosis anymore.  I've heard these drugs & withdrawal can mess up those types of blood tests -- or at least they are showing something that will resolve itself with everything else.  Does anyone else know anything about withdrawal from these drugs and false lupus diagnosis?

My ANA is 1:160 now - it has gone from negative to this in a year - I presented with swollen lymph nodes, hives and lip swelling - I'm also positive for one other autoimmune marker that is indicative of something having to do with arteries - and blood vessels

My understanding is that 1:80 can still be considered negative - do you have symptoms? did they test for other things? other markers?  My Dr said for now I do not have Lupus.......he diagnosed me with "Autoimmune Hives and Uticaria" (swelling)

No. I was not told I have lupus, but told I could get it in the next 15 years.  However, I noticed several on this site that also had developed high ana numbers and as I said in my 1st post, one person said their numbers were normal after the withdrawal was over.  I must wondered if that happened to a lot of people.

When I was in tolerance and interdose w/d and having symptoms, I went to the docs and then a neurologist ran an ANA.  Mine was high.  He said I had Lupus and then I went to a Rheumatologist and she ran more tests and found a procoagulant antibody and diagnosed me with Lupus.  Then I went to a Hematologist and he looked through all my tests and diagnosed me with Thrombophilia--at risk of stroke or heart attack because of my high procoagulant antibody.  Not sure what it is now, since that was back in 2012.  I have the blood vessel type Lupus and not the tissue type.  I know I have a bleeding disorder because I bleed easily from anything and it doesn't clot as fast as it should.  I feel like my brain is bleeding?  My cat licked my nose last night and it started bleeding this morning.

That's very odd. Seems when I see something I cannot believe a new one pops up. Do you take a blood thinner, becks?

I take a baby aspirin at bedtime.  Doc told me to do that to help thin my blood.  When I cut myself or even pick skin on my fingers, it bleeds and doesn't want to stop easily.

Maybe you should stop it? My blood coagulates much too fast for my liking........

My problem is that I might have micro-clotting going on in my brain and vessels and may have vascular dementia now because of it.  It's better for me to try to thin my blood a bit to keep any clots from getting worse.  Aspirin and Aleve always helped to alleviate my withdrawal symptoms, so it must be helping.  When I was on the benzo's and in tolerance withdrawal and still fully functional, I would take an Aleve, an anti-inflammatory, and it made me feel better.  I think I've got inflammation, too, from my autoimmune vascular disorder, so I think it's good to take a baby aspirin.
