Hi!

I had a burning head for two straight weeks. Nothing really helped and at times it got awfully painful, specially on the right side of my head.

Nothing I did improved the pain and I was convinced that I had a deadly disease or a brain stroke.

Then my wife bought me an ice pack (the one you use for sports injuries) and it became my best friend. I would put it on top of my head and it would not ease all the pain and burning but it did help a lot.

Then as sudden as it all started, it ended. The head burning was gone.

It's back every once in a while but in a much much milder form.

I hope this information helps.

I have it 10 months straight since I stoped Clonazepam.  :( some night is gets better now...I hope and pray one day will be gone. It is very painful and scary. Not to many people has it.

I hope for you will go away fast.

Yes, I get it. Mine comes & goes. Made me feel like I had a brain bleed or something. Pretty sure it's a pretty common symptom.

Definitely had this, just on my left side. It started under my chin, down to my collarbone, up the back of my neck, the side of my face and over my scalp. It eased off gradually from the outer edge backwards, so first the scalp got better, then my head and face. I still get the weird pain just under my chin, but only occasionally.

I used cold packs for my head, and warm packs for my neck. Beware of cold packs too near your neck arteries, I almost passed out once when I laid my head on one and froze my brain!
