Anxiety & panic attacks make skin burning sensation worse - need encouragement

Just trying to get by right now. This skin burning sensation (that is also itching in some places) is energized when the panic hits -- which also triggers hot flashes.  Does anyone else have skin burning sensation that is energized by the anxiety?  I was getting hot flashes before all this happened to me, but now the hot flashes are always accompanied by the skin burning sensation getting worse. I have anxiety and akathesia.  I pace the house all day long, but watch Hallmark movies to distract myself.  Sometimes it's hard to breath and I feel like my chest it tight.  I could really use some encouragement!! I have had NO windows since I stopped my quick taper off of gabapentin & clonazepam 6 weeks ago.  Hard to keep going on.

Yes, I started getting hot flushing last summer when I started my taper. I thought maybe I was peri menopausal or something, as they were a bit alarming. As I got lower in my taper, it intensified. My face & nose would turn bright red, like rosacea.

When I jumped, I got really intense burning in my feet, arms, legs, fingers & sometimes what feels like my brain.

I had the pacing at about 6 weeks off, and that lasted about a week. I'd pace the downstairs in the evening and at night like some dementia patient. Also, right around 5/6 weeks is when my breathing issues started. Chest tight, can't get a good full breath of air, asthma-like symptoms. It's the straw that broke the camels back & made me reinstate. DO NOT DO THAT. Looking back, I was actually close to feeling a little better, especially psychologically. Now I'm having almost the same symptoms of when I was off, but am still at .375 mg.

TRY to get to 8 weeks. Your anxiety should improve, and once that does, your chest will relax some & you should start to feel better.

What I can tell you is that I had EVERY symptom you speak of. Was convinced I was dying (still kind of am, although nothing shows up on medical testing.)

Try your best to make it through...you are SO close!!!!

Twinkle, Thank you sooooooo much for the encouragement and for letting me know you can relate to my symptoms.  I'll keep pushing to 8 weeks and see what happens.  Best wishes to you!

Can I offer some words as well.. some little thing will trigger my anxiety and I get hot , but mostly in my face ... my temperature is normal but I feel like I'm burning up.. lots of flushing .. then I get all this saliva in my mouth too like I'm going to be sick but never actually am. Lately have been troubled by nausea. It's just horrible ... feel like I'm constantly in fight or flight ... been bad the last few days . Then I calm down and can breath again .. I feel for you. I feel for us all .. ! Keep telling myself I'm safe and there I see nothing wrong but it's hard some times ... guess it's because I'm getting down so much lower now .. all the best . You're not alone x
