Has anyone had amalgam removal during recovery?

I have a dentist appointment in a couple weeks to get a filling done on a cavity but in order to get to the cavity , they will need to remove a amalgam filling ( mercury) . I am scared it's going to cause some issues since our bodies are so sensitive during recovery and I also read about people getting mercury toxicity after removal of amalagram fillings. Am I just bieng a paranoid benzo buddy or should I take extra precautions, like finding a holistic / biological dentist to do the procedure?

Yes and had to have bridge removed.  It was super bad for me.  He gave me 4 injections and I still felt pain.  A lot of pain.

I had to come back 2nd time to install the bridge.  He said it'd be sensitive for 2 months.  It's been 5 months and I have to use 1-tip in Ambesol against my two teeth involved before I can floss or brush.  I've been flossing first and then brushing... seems to somewhat numb better.  It's not really numb but I don't cry.
