What happens if you try a pill or 2 after months without them?

So my history

2014 I took klonopin for 8months, got off.

From July to august 2016 I took xanax everyday. It sucked getting off I was having a hard time sleeping. I took it again a few times after that in nov for a dental procedure.

My uncle and dog he gave us passed away within a few weeks of each other recently and i took some left over klonopin to help me get through that and sleep. I noticed when I take it i feel super tired the next day. Lately ive been inadverently tensing my face and arms giving me headaches and pain. I noticed my arms get tired and shaky pretty easily. I do have anxiety but its not quite like that usually. Could I be screwing around with my brain chemistry? Can I give mysely these symptoms from continuing to take benzos as needed? I heard that if you took benzos for a long time it takes no time to get your brain "hooked" again if you take it once or twice. Is that true?

Hi, taking benzos as needed is not a good idea, and it almost never works without becoming dependent.  There is also the possibility of "kindling" when one goes on and off benzos multiple times, this is where the body becomes sensitized and each successive withdrawal is long and harder.

So, I myself wouldn't take a benzo just for short term relief.  It's just not worth it, IMO, especially if you're really serious about getting off and staying off in the long term.

Heather Ashton said in her study that sometimes it is administered for medical procedures and it should not hurt you. So you should be OK I would avoid taking it as much as possible. Once I oked myself to take it for oone reason then I would get more liberal on why I'm taking it. So I would take it to sleep and then the next night I will take it again.

6 weeks out I tried a small ambien rescue dose because I had a sleep study and couldn't sleep with all the equipment on. It didn't work at all.

I tried a dose two months out to try and sleep after a bereavement, but it didn't work - in fact, it made me extremely anxious.

If at all possible you're better off never taking these medications ever again.

But, you should also not freak out and think that if you take them once or twice that you will be back to square one.

The real danger is that one or two will turn into three or four which will turn into a couple a week or worse.  Then you are definitely back to square one, and maybe even worse due to kindling.

I would strongly advise you not to do it.
