Hello,

I don't know if anyone here will remember me, but I used to be a member under the username of Corman back around 2012/2013. While I found the site and its members helpful and supportive, I eventually had to request the deletion of my account because my withdrawal was causing irrational fears about a disgruntled member from the past who used to harass the site and its patrons.

Despite deleting my account, I continued on with my journey of recovery until I took my last dose of Valium (0.5mg liquid after having originally started at 4.5mg of Xanax) on June 25, 2013. However, after doing so, my problems certainly didn't disappear overnight, as I had been on the pills for about eight years prior to my taper and I had to work through all of the issues that had been blurred by the benzos. However, I still persisted and maintained a healthy lifestyle, exercising/eating well, abstaining from alcohol, and also getting myself off the other medications I had been taking (Seroquel and medical marijuana).

Today, I am still completely free from benzos and all other pharmaceuticals as well as drugs and alcohol, and I have truly got my life back. Through my persistent healing work, I managed to put all of the pieces back together as well as address the issues that caused me to go on the medications in the first place, and while everything is not always 100% perfect, I consider myself a very happy and blessed person and I'm extremely grateful for every benzo-free day I've lived since my struggle.

However, the main reason behind my return is due to the fact that I am writing a book about my life and healing journey in the hope that it can help inspire others on similar paths. I am actually about to start writing the chapter about my taper now, and I hoped that I could get access to my old progress log if it is still around. (To this end, I would appreciate the advice from a mod/admin if possible, since I no longer noticed the heading for the Progress Log section.)

I would also be happy to provide some encouraging words for people currently undergoing their taper and write a brief post for the Success Story section if it would be beneficial.

Thank you for your time! All the best on your individual (and collective) journeys towards recovery. :)

Thank you very much for the warm welcome! It's wonderful to be back as well. :) It definitely feels very different since my last visit.

I am extremely grateful for the access to my old log, which is proving to be very interesting! I somehow completely forgot that my taper didn't end until August 2013, so I've been celebrating my anniversary two months early for the past three years lol.

I will begin to write my success story over the next couple of days after surfing the site to temporarily step back into the frame of mind from back in those days. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone around the boards!
