8.5 months off update

Hey peeps!

So many new faces around.  It's been 5 months since I last posted.  I need to update my signature too.  I am doing pretty good.  Not symptom free yet.  The best I can explain is the symptom s are becoming less intense over time.  What's fixed and what remains?  Sleep is fixed.  I fall asleep a few minutes when I hit the sack.  Sometimes when I am watching TV late I'll fall asleep on the couch while watching and wake up a few hours later and have to drag my ass to bed...Lol.  I can exercise on a regular basis without repercussions.  I have a shit ton of energy compared to 3 months off and it's still coming back which makes me bappy.  Mentally I am happy and keep myself busy.  What symptoms are left?  A couple times a month I'll have that adrenaline symptom where I have minor burning skin.  It lasts about a half a day.  I'll get headaches from hell but they're becoming less frequent.  Once or twice a month I'll wake up with nausea but that comes with the adrenaline.  Basically I think my adrenals are still healing.  I think my adrenals were probably impacted the most.  Some random muscle twitching but this is minor and getting better with time. So that's about it.  This is bliss compared to where I was 1 and 2 years ago.

My best advice is to stay the course with whatever is working g for you.  There is no easy way out.  You must go through it.  Never reinstate once you're off.  Let your CNS heal.  The symptoms are just your brain trying to readjust.  I promised myself I would write a success story when I am 100% symptom free.  Hopefully someday soon.

For those in hell reading this remember TIME heals.  It will get better.  Stay OFF that drug and never reinstate.

Thanks for the update. Glad your 8 months past taking the last big of poison. Needed to read this today as your right in that there is no easy way out. Just one after the other and soldier through. You must be pleased that you are healing well and the lights are back on. Enjoy 😊

Arcade,

I'm really happy for you and admire your perseverance. Such great news that you are coming along nicely at 8 months. I'm hoping to be in your shoes before you know it!

All the best,

Ed

Thank you everyone.  It does get better.  Just keep staying the course to get off this stuff.  I believe there is no such thing as a symptom free taper.  The symptoms won't hurt you.  Keep going.
