Klonopin liquid taper: ora-blend versus water?

Hi,

I started my liquid taper using tablets and water.  I decided to work with a compounding pharmacy to make liquid suspension (details in signature).  The ora-blend is so sweet, even sugar-free which feels so unhealthy.  It's also unbelievably expensive. Question: does anyone have any other ideas around liquid taper solution?  I travel once a month for work, so I was looking for some way to travel with my meds and still remain accurate with dosing.

You can NOT use plain water.  K is not water-soluble.

 

1) Plain OraPlus is NOT sweet, it's adding the OraSweet that makes it sweet.  You can eliminate some or all of the OraSweet.  And the OraPlus/OraSweet can be diluted up to 50%.

 

2)  By using a small amount of vodka (alcohol) or propylene glycol, you can dissolve the K then dilute with water.  This makes a true, evenly distributed solution, instead of a suspension like the OraPlus.
