Valium dosing: 1x/day or split?

I'm crossing over to Valium from Serax for a substitution taper. My doc has me going from Serax 10mg 3x/day to Valium 15mg 1x/day. As I increase the Valium on the crossover my doc has me taking it all at bed, whereas now I take 1/3 (10mg) of my Serax dose at bed and the other two doses at 10am and 5pm.

 

Currently on the Serax I have my worst anxiety on waking. It's pretty bad.

 

Does it make sense to keep increasing the Valium at bedtime on the crossover, or should I split the doses like I do w/ my Serax?

I always dosed once a day so kept it that way after crossing over. I tried splitting the dose a few times during taper and found once a day was right for me.

 

It might be easier for you to keep the split dose during the crossover and then gradually transition to once a day later.
