.125 Xanax

Is .125 low enough to WD from without risk of seizure? I'm not there yet, but I'm working on my taper plan and dry cut my .5 mg pills.

 

I plan to taper down .125 over the course of the next several weeks, holding when necessary, but wanted to jump after maybe 2 weeks at .125.

 

Any advice appreciated!

.125 xanax is still a pretty substantial dose  (2.5mg V equivalent).

 

There wouldn't be a seizure risk, but you might experience significant WD sxs.

It will be difficult to dry cut lower than that. They already sort of crumble when I cut them to .125. I've never researched or done any type of titration method. I guess I can purchase a scale and go lower that way even if it's a pile of crumbs.

Yeah, you can use a scale.  But dropping it in a little vodka or propylene glycol is a lot easier.

Xanax, like most benzos, is soluble in alcohol.  Its very easy to make a dilute xanax liquid by dissolving tablets in vodka (or PG) then diluting with water to make a 1mg=10ml solution.  Then you can easily measure out doses in tenths  (.1), or even hundredths (.01)  of a mg.

Question: during my taper w benzos still in my system, there is no risk of seizure, correct? By biggest fear and sometimes the shaking or slight muscle twitches along with numbness or tingling really scare me. Isn't that more of a CT risk and while the taper is uncomfortable, if I can just get past that fear,

I feel my anxiety will lessen a great deal.

Unless you have a history of seizure disorders, AND CT from a high dose of benzo, your seizure risk is essentially zero.

 

Tremor, spasms, muscle twitches, etc are common, "normal" WD sxs.

I have dry cut below .0625(my day dose) with no problem. I use a Gemini scale.

CT stands for cold turkey. That is what stopping use without tapering is referred to as.

FEARFUL.I am going to jump at .03.  I jumped my day dose there....now working off my night dose which  is currently .08..you?
