Help...not coming out of my last taper

Hello,

I am coming up on finishing month 4 of dry tapering off 3mg of Ativan.  I had been on the Ativan for 2 months prior to the taper.  After my last taper, I am taking 1.25mg/day in three doses.  I have had a few extended periods of withdrawl after a taper (a week), but I am on day 15 now and am still not doing well.  My chest is so clenched that I feel like I will have a heart attack.  My neck and shoulders hurt.  My anxiety is very high.  WILL THIS STOP? I am looking for any encouragement I can get.  Please.  Also, does anyone use vitamins B6 and B12 to help?

Thanks for your support.

My physician gave me Ativan to replace a cold-turkey clonazepam withdrawal. I had been on a low dose of Clonazdepam for a decade and was suffering from long-term use withdrawal.

You are doing great! 15 days is still pretty early on and your body is just getting used to not having any benzo at all. I jumped at .25 klonopin (and as you can see in my signature, that was WAY too high and I was unsuccessful, but am BACK in the saddle again!). After i jumped, I was pretty okay the first 2 weeks, and then got REALLY bad symptoms at 3 & 4 weeks, even through week 6.

I think if I'd just been able to hang on for TWO more weeks, I likely would have turned a corner, though.

This is normal - the chest tightness and anxiety were my worst symptoms. Still are after ANY cut I make.
