Hello. Planning on fast tapering diazepam while cold turkeying zolpidem. Used both daily on quite low doses, for less than a few months. Seeking advice on my taper plan. Thanks.

Hello Treeyarns

Welcome to Benzo Buddies, we are glad that you have found us. You will get plenty of support here. You should really come off one drug at a time.  Zolpidem (Ambien) is not a benzo but it does need to be tapered in the same manner.

If you have been taking benzos more than a few weeks, then the general recommendation is to reduce between 5-10% every 10-14 days. You say you have been taking diazepam almost 2 months, you can taper quicker, the  goal is to minimize withdrawal effects.

I leave a link to the Ashton Manual, as well as benzo withdrawal, there is some information about sleep hypnotics also.

We have a great community here of knowledgeable and friendly people who understand this process.  They will be willing to share their experience with you.  Feel free to ask questions so that members can respond

If you would be so kind as to add a signature (history of meds/doses etc) it will help members give you relevant advice this link will show you how to”Create a signature”
