Free after 17yrs of z drugs

I am now a good 6 mths drug free after taking zopiclone for 17 yrs, in pretty whacking great amounts at some points, too!  I have had a few W/d sx like gastric reflux (now gone), and still suffer with quite bad stiffness, especially in the legs, but I am after all, 59!

I feel on the whole, better than I have done for the last 17 yrs and I am very proud indeed of myself, for being tough, and beating the zopiclone addiction.

There were times when I didn't think this day would come and I am very happy that it has

kes, Congratulations! I am so happy the nightmare is over for you. As a fellow z-drug BB, I am 3 years CT from ambien and most days are about 85% healed. I hoping to get to that 100% soon.

Always, cindy

Outstanding Kes! Great work.. Yeah I hear ya, I'm 56, different kind of stiff...  :tickedoff:  :2funny:

I'm a year off myself and many of those weird symptoms like joint pain will subside in time, mine did.

Again, Congratulations, you did a great thing, you should be proud of your accomplishment!

Peace and continued good healing,

Wilson  :highfive:

kes, I had that severe joint pain, only on my left side, my hand, wrist, fingers, knee , I could not use my left hand or bend it for months and then it completely went away.......just another weird bizarre symptom

That is such good news, Kes!  I'm so proud and happy for you, too!!!  It's awesome that you're feeling so well after being on the z drugs so long.  Congratulations and I wish you every happiness in the world!

TY Freida and cindys - feeling good and hopeful!  :)  cindys - I note that you had tinnitus through part of your recovery - I have had this for about 4 or 5 yrs - still hopeful it may resolve given time.  I wish you good fortune (luck doesn't really come into it - we got here through our own hard graft!) for your continued recovery.  :)
