Hi

I have been off valium now for three weeks, but my legs and feet just keep on buzzing and burning.

The muscles are also hurting horrible.

I have tried a rescue dose, but that does only seem to make it worse.

How long is this supposed to be going on ?

Is this something i just have to get used to ?

Any reply would be appreciated.

Thanks Malakaa

Did you ever take any rescue doses ?

I get burning in my feet but not the legs.  It is a normal component of withdrawal and I would not recommend a rescue dose of any kind.  Unfortunately, you will have to try and be positive and distract yourself if this is becoming too much.  With time that burning crap will go away but no one can say for how long the issue endures.  Sorry.

Take care.

Hey,

I have had this, and what I've done that's worked for me are the following:

1.  Use lots of lotion on your affected areas.  I like Gold Bond healing..

2.  On top of that I use "solarcaine" - spray usually used for sunburn (has a topical numbing agent)

3.  Also, if it's real bad, I'll take advil as well.

All that has worked for me, I hope this might help you.. I definitely don't think a "rescue" dose will help you at all..

Eric
