18 Months Benzo Free

I wanted to check in at another 6 month milestone.  I would say that life now seems quite normal.  I rarely think about the time I was on clonazepam or the painful year of withdrawal.  You can see the story of my withdrawal at the link in my signature.  My experience has been that it does take quite some time for the brain to adjust to being benzo free.  In retrospect it did seem like a mostly linear process for feeling better and better through the first 12 months after withdrawal at which point I believe I reached nearly 100% recovery.  I no longer feel fatigued or have any cog fog in the mornings.  I am dealing with anxiety using mindfulness meditation practice.  I do a lot of guided meditations downloaded from the following website http://marc.ucla.edu/ .  I am able to manage anxiety but do not expect to ever overcome it.  I think it's just the way I am wired.  Nevertheless, I am quite satisfied to have techniques to manage anxiety that do not involve taking pills.  My best wishes to those of you who are still on the journey to becoming benzo free and my thanks again to those who made it ahead of me and provided so much advice and encouragement along the way.
