I'm terrified of having a seizure... my dr dropped me from 3mg ativan straight over to valium 8mg overnight. The first few days I had severe withdrawals that put me in the ER.. I've since leveled out after 2 weeks on 8mg to my only symptom really being randomly jittery... if I was going to have a seizure would it have already happened? I'm so so scared

You're past the seizure risk period.

WTF are these doctors doing? You may be past the time for a seizure but it is still cruel and negligent.

The only time Seizures usually happen during Benzo Withdrawal is if:

1. You have a TBI

2. You have a history of seizures or seizure disorder.

3. You Cold turkey from a very high dose.

It seems to me, that is rough, but at this point, you're fine.

Thanks everyone. I'm getting a new Dr tomorrow. Is my withdrawal symptom period over? Have I really stabled T 8mg in 2 weeks?? My main withdrawals were at the start for a few days after bing sirectly switched to valium. I think my mind is thinking too much and starting to imagine symptoms just out of the blue.

Its possible ! I believe so. Our bodies can amaze us and heal quicker then we thought.

Sorry, my brain is not working at all with grammar. I hope I'm making sense.

You're making more sense then a lot of people ! Its ok ! I mean, if you're still tapering down, you're gonna experience withdrawals, but not life threatening ones. The slower the better.

I totally agree.

I honestly have no idea what they're doing. A pharmacist is controlling the taper plan... either way, seeing a new Dr tomorrow. Hope it goes well, because I can't handle the other taper and they told me I had no rights to hold or change it for anything.
