Has anyone found anything helpful in relieving the musculoskeletal pain associated with withdrawal? I'm a little concerned about taking anything that could interfere with my recovery time (i.e. muscle relaxers, ibuprofen, etc). I don't have access to a bathtub so hot baths are out of the question, and I can't afford massage therapy. I would like to start exercising some, but afraid I might injure myself with my current condition.

I've never had anything bad happen from ibuprofen. If you were going to take anything, I'd say ibuprofen would be the safest.

How about stretching? It helps me greatly.

I've found that a heating pad helps cut the pain for awhile and if it gets really bad, ibuprofen works but, I try not to take it very often.  Walking also helps relieve the muscle pain and stiffness, too.

I agree heat pads and ibuprofen. Mine was so severe at one point I had to take a course of naproxen. I also read on here that coconut water helped someone so I've been drinking that too - just incase it helps.

Massaging your neck and stretching helps a lot. Yes. It's common in W/D and in Ashton manual under list of complaints. Mitra bananas-fresh foods.  ;)
