For almost three months my head feels so strange. I decribe it as numb because my neck used to feel the same way. Recently it has stopped and i now feel neck pain.

Cud someone pls define or explain the definition of head pressure for me? Is it numbness or pain?

Some tell if its numbness its is caused by dr/dp which i have. But im confused. Is numbness considered head pressure or no?

Hi, sorry you are suffering its a common sx....not unusual at all.

I copied this from Matt Samet's Benzopedia....

"I never thought the headaches I had from withdrawal would end. I can tell you at this point at almost 11 months off I am essentially headache free, except for an occasional tension headache. The first three months off my head felt like it was in a vice 24/7. There was so much pressure I was positive my brain was imploding. That lessened, but for the next three months it morphed into an occipital headache, where I felt like I had a dagger in the back of my  skull, where it met my neck."

I'm glad you don't have headaches cos they are a beauty....I had both...numbness

and terrible pressure.

If you type '' head numbness '' into the search function....on top to your right...

there are many threats about it.

Hope it will help.  :)

Hello Jus,

I got both, the numbness and the pressure and they are not the same (both have nothing to do with a "normal" headache in my case). When I got the pressure it just feels as if my brain will explode any second. Everything inside my head feels tight and even the roots of my hair start hurting.

The numbness is even worse for me. I got it in the right side of my brain. It just feels numb and swollen. For me that starts when my racing thoughts are so out of control that I think it is a try of my brain to just not think anymore because thinking is not possible then.

It is absolutely horrible. I am very sorry you have to experience that, too.

Hope I could help a bit.

Yes, It's like the back and sometimes the sides of my head felt like they fell asleep. I know EXACTLY what you are describing and yes- it's part of Withdrawal.

Head pressure for me was horrific EXCRUCIATING pain that brought me to the ER day after day during the acute period.

Yep. The head pressure was like a sinus headache (very painful in eyes and nose) and a right band feeling on and around head and painful pressure inside- ice packs help a lot wrapped around head and breaking in Frankinsence oil. 3 drops in hot water helped take the edge off. It does go way by the way. Sorry you're feeling what I felt. I would just cry and get my husband to press in my occipital area. Helped a lot. But like after an hour of pressing.
