Is Paresthesia - skin burning sensation -- worse at night?

I have read posts on this board from 2012 where there were encouraging words from several people about the skin burning sensation going away. I am wondering, for those who have had skin burning sensation/paresthesia, if it was worse at night.

I would love to hear more stories of people who have had skin burning sensation that went away.  If you have a positive story, I would love to hear from you and find out how long it took to go away.  Thank you so much!

Yes LedgeKay, this has always been worst at night.  I am almost 14 months out and I have noticed during the last two weeks that this has noticeably diminished.  At least enough that I can fall asleep more easily and definitely have better nights !

Thanks for replying edou. It helps to know it happens to others. Glad it's getting better for you.

When I had the skin burning it tended to be worse at night for me too. The worst of it was on my face and scalp.  I'm happy to say that this symptom is now gone.

Thanks for your comment ecclecticsoul.  How long did the burning last before it finally went away?

Ledgekay,

Welcome to Benzobuddies.  You may also want to post/visit the Gabapentin Withdrawal support thread.  http://www.benzobuddies.org/forum/index.php?topic=84267.msg2350040#msg2350040

Most who post are in the midst of their Gabapentin tapers, but some may be able to provide you with some input.  We can definitely offer support.  And I'm sure you can offer a lot of insights to those in the thick of things.

All the best to you.

Hi Guy. Thanks for your response. I have accessed this support group because of the benzo withdrawal success stories.  Is there a link for gabapentin withdrawal success stories?  When I have previously gone to  gabapentin support group sites, I mainly find people expressing problems and cannot find much encouragement with success stories. Thanks.

Hi I have a burning headache and scalp. But mine is very bad 6-7 on a scale in the morning severe 10 afternoon and just bad 3-4 during the night. My scalp and face goes red when is burns a lot.  I'm in this suffering for 1 and half year. But what I'm hearing from other BB it will get better. So I'm hoping. Vica
