Cold turkeyed April 15th 2016. Symptoms are still hell.  Debiliating fatigue, pressure in head, chest pain....I've had a nagging cough and severe acid reflux since this started is that normal. Severe anxiety, depression, acrophobia, lust goes on. Almost a year now. I hate to sound so morbid but I'm really scared. Life is unbearable right now. Is is normal to be suffering like this a year out. Also have other people had the nagging cough and severe acid reflux? It's really hard to deal with this. Does anyone know any treatment centers that help with the healing. I just need to get better already. Sick of this hell.

Nah nothing and X rays all come back clear. Just very severe heartburn and a chronic cough. All started about the time I came off everything.

Omeprazole totally helped with reflux but I should have come off it within 3 months or used only intermittently.  I'm glad I had it as I was in agony but wish I'd researched it a little more.  When stopping after a longish period you get rebound acid and it can also contribute to acid imbalance in the intestine but short term it's a miracle.  Pop it in the search here as many others have used it but I need to know where I am without it.  I'm 10 months out looking into histamine issues and gut healing.  I think healing our gut is key to recovery.... haha to do that I need to get off the omeprazole!  Best to you xx

Thanks yeah certainly a grind. For what it's worth I've at least been able to leave house for 6 straight days which is a change. I'm not out long as I'm really weak but it's been them it has been. Was pretty much bedridden most of the winter so I'll take it.  :) Hang in there yourself, I know it's hard. Good luck!

Hang in there! I am 13mo out of a c/t and right there where you are. We are still very early in recovery being that we quit c/t.... I'm thinking we will start to feel some sort of improvement between 18mo-2yrs... fingers crossed !

Appreciate the response and support. Thanks. Have been back to being housebound with fatigue, anxiety etc. last few days but Ill take at least being able to leave house more ofthen lately. The agrophobia and fatigue (among other symptoms) are really getting to me. Dreading the summer and warm weather and possibly having to be housebound. From a psychological standpoint its really gonna suck :(. Bad enough my depression is at an extreme with this illness...Hope as days go by, Ill have more energy and clarity of thought and a better mood. My one year anniversary in saturday yay ;-). Still pretty sick but thats reason to celebrate :) . You should definitely be very proud of yourself for making it 13 months out! To say this is hard is understatement of century. Im so looking forward to being my old self again. Keeps me going for sure through these tough times. Anyways thanks again for support and good luck to you!

We will make it, I promise! This will be a distant memory some day. The best thing we can do is just accept the fact that we are miserable and keep pressing on... honestly, I don't know how I made it this far...Do you journal? I found that really helps me. I'm obsessed in trying to find patterns etc.( I am unsuccessful to date- haha... at least it gives me something to do).

you are right when you say this journey is hard-- this makes the worst thing that has happend in my life in previous withdrawal days seem like Disneyland .

I pray we turn a corner soon!!
