Cantfly- every time I take a step I go flying forward too fast. I got a job at a car wash and quit because the work was not with the money I was content with that job but I ended up meeting an old friend and he got me a job at a surf factory and I was put at a very serious position I feel I dont deserve at all and I'm trying to hold in my anger. But at the same time my dream of owning a surf shop feels gone because I had to sign a no compete clause  All while praying for a window

I know I can't stay outside too much linger because it is really messing with me a lot. Yes I feel how sensitive I am sleeping iny car sucks souch because the wind irritates my ears still. I guess the job will helpe financially and I should go to church more but I drive there and see all those people I just dont go I go at night and sit there and pray

Hang in there, Hodge.  You sound stronger than you may perceive yourself to be.  You are doing it, you are making it through this day-by-day.  I have much admiration for you and for many others who continue to persevere through this very challenging experience.  Keep on putting one foot in front of the other.  Doing so got you this far, so it'll take you across the finish line too.  I'm sending positivity and prayers your way.

Congratulations on the job!!!  I just want to pipe in here and say a no compete clause doesn't lock you in for life.  Also, now you can really see how surf shops run and if you even really want to run one yourself.  It's standard to have people sign no compete clauses and they frequently leave and work for competitors.  It's super rare to find anyone enforcing it.  It's usually enforced only when there's some kind of real mean and underhanded backstabbing going on.
