26 months off and struggling.

So I got off of Klonopin a little over 26mths ago and my sleep is still so bad. Any little noise bothers me when I'm trying to sleep. I live with a lot of other people, so it's difficult to sleep in complete silence. I wish noise didn't bother me so badly. It annoys me so much, I feel anger, and I definitely don't sleep after that.

I used Listerine with Alcohol a couple months ago and I think that really set me back. I read all these stories about people being okay with it, but no we are definitely not all the same. I would not recommend Listerine whatsoever.

Anyway, I'm not feeling like I'm getting better and just overall feeling defeated. If I could go back in time I would do a slow taper.

Free,

We jumped around the same time. Yep, the insomnia with this is brutal and when it goes on this long it's especially hard. Have you tried earplugs? I can't imagine life without them. I use the soft foam kind and order them in bulk from noise busters. There are also headphones built into headbands on which you can play music or beach sounds at night. I hope things turn around for you soon.

I was just going to say the same thing! Earplugs have also been a life-saver for me. kind of second-nature now. I use the silicone ones and break them in half (like they tell you not to) because you can really cram them in that way. I couldn't figure out why I kept losing them, but finally figured out my dog was eating them (gross)! So they go in a case now. When things are really noisy, I layer a pair of noise-cancelling headphones on top of the earplugs. Maybe someday we'll be heavy sleepers (haha).
