Hi my name is Gwen and I have been on Klonopin for about 10 years to help my chronic vertigo. I believe that I am now facing a tolerance withdrawal situation even though I am still taking my 2mg per day...I am ready to start tapering but scared to death. I do not want to involve my doctor because I know he would withdraw me too quickly. I think I am going to be put on A migraine med as I believe I have Vertigo due to Migraines in absence of pain. I guess I should wait to taper until I am stable on the new med. Any thoughts?

Benzodiazepines work well until they don't, and then we're left with the issue of withdrawal.  I'm glad you're looking for withdrawal methods, a proper taper can make all the difference in the world.
