I have noticed that I am in a dream like state. My driving is not very good and it has always been very good. I am in some kind of fog or trance like state most of the time. I feel sluggish behind the wheel and I feel like I am not very alert. I am acting like someone on drugs but I only take mirtazapine 7.5 at night. What a weird symptom to get at 10 months??

Anyone else have this feeling?  ???

I am 14 months and can only drive for like 5 minutes at a time. I was driving up to 30 min before this hellish wave. I used to be able to drive anywhere, even across the country. Time and space are all off. So  you are not alone! I hope it improves for you

Thanks for answering Jenn. It helps to know that others are also experiencing this. If enough people, who are withdrawing, have our same symptoms then it's just another temporary symptom and not some new malady that we have to figure out some other way. I really hope that you find relief soon. I am hoping and praying for all of us.  :smitten:

I drive a truck for a living. I drive for many hours each day.

I have had no choice because I have to pay the bills.

I have been in this dream like state for a long time even when I am not driving. The feeling of confusion and floating makes it very hard.

Continually staying alert and thinking a head is what has gotten me through this. It is very mentally draining.

The one good thing is it helps with the intrusive thoughts and anxiety, because I am so focused on driving.

I have kind of gaged my healing on my ability to drive better.

Over the last few months my head is clearer and it is not as hard to make decisions and not so much anxiety when I am driving so I think things are getting better, but it is very slow.

Search synergistic effects of coffee and theanine. Might help you focus and be more alert.

Yeh I get that bebop, I feel like I shouldn't be behind the wheel at times . I don't think we should stop driving though because of it.

Driving has been a challenge for me. And I teach Drivers Ed for a living. But even personal driving can be a problem. I've learned to adjust somewhat by cutting back somewhat on night driving and allowing more time to get to my destination. Hope you can continue to work and heal. This is my first post: 72 yrs old; on xanax for 36 years for panic attacks. For most of those years I was at 2.5mg. Long story but I have been tapering from 6.25mg to currentl 4.6mg. Going very slow because of age. Amazingly I have a NP who is Benzo savy. Hope you heal very soon.

.. Thanks for posting your comments Silveralpha, confused, Remy (good to hear from you), and Jack. I feel for all of us. It is pretty scary to be driving and to hear a horn blow and then to wonder if it was something I did....didnt catch it myself. Anyway, lets be careful out there. Saying that to myself especially.  ::)
