I am 8 weeks benzo free now, but two weeks ago I started having what seem to be mild heart palpitations accompanied with shortness of breath (also feels like my chest is hollow, or I have a lump in my chest). These symptoms are different than wave and window symptoms I was experiencing prior to this. It just seems weird that the waves would go away, and this would start out of the blue. Still having pain in neck, shoulders, and back. Still a little shaky in the hands. I'm pretty sure the pain and shakiness will subside with time, but the chest thing is a little concerning. Any thoughts?

Hi i had that exact problem for a full month just as you described it. It literally stopped yesday. I had tests done on my heart...all normal. So its jus withdrawal/healing/recovery related. Hoping it doesnt return.

It realized when i panicked and worried about it my heart raced more and i would have even more difficulty breathing. I began to reassure myself its jus a symptom.

These are all common symptoms, I had them myself.  I also had a full heart health evaluation and was told everything is fine.  However, it's best to be checked out and then relax, knowing all's well.  Then when the muscle pains, shortness of breath and palpitations hit, there's not so much anxiety over it.

I've been feeling the same for weeks. Some days I felt like I can't breathe at all. Other days my heart hurts and then others it races. Sometimes I feel like my chest is hollow. I too have had all the work ups and tests and all are fine. It's hard to shrug it off as symptoms, it's really scary. I'm 10 weeks Ct from klonopin so I'm right there with you.

Thanks BB's. It's just so weird how the symptoms come and go like this. Several weeks ago I was outside using a snow blower singing songs, now I feel like there's a ballon in my chest. If it continues I suppose I could get a heart eval. What kind of doctor would you go to for this?

If you want a thorough eval, I'd call a cardiologist.  In the meantime have you tried using heating pads on the sore places?  Benzos are strong muscle relaxers, so our muscles do hurt for awhile.
