My last dose of .25 mg Xanax was yesterday evening at 6PM. It's now almost 10 AM in the morning for me now, and I'm holding great (usually take a .25 morning dose at 6AM).

Should I go ahead and dose anyway at normal scheduled time (well, it's already 4 hours past that) or just keep holding until uncomfortable?

0.25 X is a lot to jump from. Although you havent been on long. Do you have a way to taper lower? If so, and if it were me I would go a little lower before jumping. Based on my experience, tapering is something you only want to do once!

I definitely am not planning on jumping right now bc I am still at 1.5 mg daily as of yesterday. It just seems maybe I'm dosing too quickly if I'm asymptomatic and dose anyway. I guess my question is do I push back dosing until absolutely necessary or is it better to just stick to a specific dosing schedule regardless of symptoms?

Ah, sorry I misunderstood. I think it is better to stay on schedule i.e. Avoid symptoms rather than try to recovery from them.

Thank you so much! That makes sense because it is pretty miserable waiting until symptoms hit and then dosing. I cut again yesterday bc I was doing so well (down to 1.25 from 1.5) and this morning I really felt a cut hard for the first time. Slight leg muscle weakness, slight nausea, stomach upset, racing heart. I slept through my normal morning dosing time so quickly dosed and it did alleviate all the symptoms so I'm gonna hold at 1.25 bc I think it is still a manageable cut at this point. However, I think I'll be cutting smaller or holding longer from this point on since I got a nice taste of what awaits me if I taper too quickly...
