VAPING vs. smoking?

Recommended Posts

Ive noticed many posts of people "out of breath and hard to breathe" as a symptom who are also smokers. This may be a good time to try out vaping. I kicked a 30 year tobacco habit by vaping and have my smell-taste and lungs back. If anyone does test out vaping dont buy those cheap little "vape pens" but actually go to a local vape shop and discuss it with them and get set up with a "tank system" and actually sample flavors until you find a flavor you like. Its very easy to make the switch from cigs to vaping because its the only way to satiate your desire to inhale nicotine. Im very happy i quit smoking 5 years ago. Id probably be dead had i not. Just an idea.

Vaping has been a game changer for my wife.

At the onset of her tolerance with Ativan and Zopiclone she was hospitalized for observation and to stabilize  ::)

When she came out, the decision was made to quit smoking as she had a good 4 day head start with no cigarettes. She was a pack to a pack and a half smoker for over 30 yrs.

She tried the nicotine patch, gum, tic tac's, oral spray ect..... nothing really alleviated her desire for a smoke. Not to mention the amount of nicotine she was consuming was huge. She constantly had a wad of the Nic gum in her mouth.

In hindsight, she wishes she'd just gone to vaping at the start, as that action of hand to mouth and inhaling is/was most of the desire. She started out at 21mgs of nicotine and now is down to 3.

I do think it's available in 0 as well.

I was concerned it would lead to smoking at first, acting sort of like a trigger, but she has no desire to go back to cigarettes now.

Wow. Thats cool. It literally is a life saver/changer. I also went from 21 to 3 mg. I make my own juice now which is a lot cheaper and very very easy. I used to pay $50 for 100ml of juice but when you mix it yourself it costs about 3 dollars. The makers of juice make so much money its almost scandolous. Happy for you and your better half!

Oh yea-its a breeze and literally 100 times cheaper and it is very very simple once you know the easy steps. All vape juice is vg (vegatable glycerine) or pg (propylene glycol) mixed with liquid nicotine and various flavorings.  Google "how to make your own" DIY e juice" and research it. But essentially you are mixing vg or pg liquid with your desired liquid nicotine % and adding any flavoring(s) you desire. I make my own vanilla custard with vanilla custard-french vanilla-and a smidgen of caramel. It really is simple and takes about 20 minutes to know how to do it. And you can experiment on a zillion different flavorings. Here is a link to a typical lab that sells all the ingredients but there are also many other places to buy the ingredients. The KEY is to do online research on mixing your own vape juice. If ur on a budget it is the ONLY way to go. Does your wife have a tank set up that she vapes or.....? Im a huge pro vape proponent. I would highly recommend visiting a local vape shop or simply research it online because you can cheaply make BETTER vape juice alot cheaper then what its sold for. Also-you can order all the ingredients online and have them shipped to your door. Heres the link where you can buy all the flavorings etc for "DIY E JUICE" (thats the terminology all 'do it your selfers' use for making their own liquid)- https://wizardlabs.us Vape on!

I was able to quit using the lozenges. I have never felt better in my life. So much more healthy. I wish I never started on that junk. I can also run the treadmill for a longer period of time. Never again! Great going all around!

Ever since quitting smoking and nicotine in all forms is when I got my life back. Nicotine is possibly worse than benzos. Nicotine gives you a low grade depression , anxiety and when you quit these symptoms a exacerbated when you quit. Quitting cigs is harder than quitiing benzos imo. I used gum and vape to end cigs, it took a year for me to stop wanting a cig in the morning. Now, I can't even be near a smoker. Please consider quitting, it will change your life.

I also felt so healthy when I stopped. But I still have cravings for them and when I see another person smoke I want to grab the ciggie and smoke it myself.
