Hi. I'm presently on a 6 month taper from 2.5mg of Xanax usage for four yrs. I am near the end. My hands are killing me also. I have a hard time holding a pen sometimes. It's all withdrawal. Hang in there.

A couple weeks after my drop from .75 mg of Ativan to .5, I woke up with a severe pain in my hand and could not lift anything. It hurt so much for several days, I had to go out and get one of those wrist braces from CVS. I had to basically not use that hand for  3 weeks and then it got better. I didn't relate it to withdrawal, but now I think that's exactly what it was.

Jackson - when I was completely off after my far too rapid taper - I couldnt write at all - I couldnt hold my pen correctly and my strokes were way too fast and jerky - and now I have such numb arthritic like pain in my hands that typing and texting are so very hard - its one of my worst symptoms -
