Should I worry about a 5 day Prednisone 40mg per day?

I have an ear infection and was rx 40mg of prednisone once per day for 5 days. I have read on here about issues with prednisone and needing to cut that as well. Should I worry about only 5 days worth? I took it years ago short term and had no issues but that was way before benzos or anything. I'm about 14 months post jump and about 85% healed I would say.

I have not picked up the rx yet to start it.

I decided not to even try the prednisone. I was also given an rx for the antibiotic Augmentin 825mg and an hour after taking that all hell broke loose so I'm not going to continue with that either. I feel a little better than yesterday so I think it was a wave and not s true sinus infection. Still far from my current baseline but better than I was yesterday!

Augmentin is a strong antibiotic. I took it for one day and my GI system was in such distress. I had random shooting pains and realized that one wasn't for me....at least right now. I would avoid the prednisone if you can. Maybe take it for a day or two...not all five! That's me just playing it safe. I hope you feel better.

Hello I was on prednisone prior to benzo withdrawl many many times no issue. Just was put on it a few months ago and it has been pure torture. I am down to 15 now and still so much panic. If you can go without please do.
