Anyone have terrifying nightmares?

I know this is common and I've searched and read some threads on this, but not recently. I find 2-3 days after my cuts, this is by far one of the worst symptoms.

Absolutely terrifying dreams / nightmares that seem to never end, and leave me feeling zoned out and paranoid for the first bit after waking up. For example... Last night it was about being robbed of all my things and no one cared, and then I was beaten and left for dead (graphic, haha). I kept 'waking up' to take my AM dose to make it go away, but the pill kept crumbling or falling out of my hand, or not being able to swallow it, weird stuff. This happened maybe 5 times before I actually woke up and took my AM dose no problem.

I can't get over how vivid and fucked up these dreams feel, and then it's like it was nothing an hour after waking up, back to normal. Last time I had these were back before I had to reinstate my first taper. Even a 2% cut and hold brings these symptoms if I do the drop over one day instead of 2-3 days, I think I'll go back to doing that.

Yes, I'm going through that now. Every night - crazy, crazy dreams/nightmares. Lots of stuff about the past. Very vivid.

And then to top it all off, I NOW feel the same when I'm awake also! Pure, unadulterated TERROR, all day & night.

I had a good day yesterday and thought I might have stabilized well from my cut from .5 to .33 but - OH NO! - my body and brain are now telling me that no way am I going to be that lucky!

I get very vivid dreams. So real. But the only time I get the night terrors is when I here people cussing and screaming at each other. Reminds me of my childhood.

0.5 to 0.33 is a huge drop... I'm talking about even a 2% decrease let alone yours which is like a 30% drop

I agree. I have no choice if I want to stay sane by cutting only 2 mg a month, out of the 32 mg I am on............I'll be here forever.

I've only made one cut so far and on the 2nd night of the new dose, began having extremely vivid dreams...I guess you would call them lucid dreams. They're so realistic that I wake up confused for a minute over reality vs. what I was dreaming.

So far, they haven't really been nightmares just extremely weird dreams. I imagine the nightmares might be coming, I just hope they aren't as realistic as what I am experiencing now.

I have that too after I wake up, about 5 minutes of wondering whether I'm still dreaming, but also paranoid if it was a nightmare... It sucks... lol

I have really vivid dreams.. at first I thought it was the Effexor I was on but am still having them after stopping it. Pretty sure they're a withdrawal effect..
