What does your DP/DR feel like?

I'm having this waving DP/DR, or atleast I think it's that, where I suddenly find myself questioning everything I do or feel and analyze it through every possible lens there is. It feels like I've gone mental, but I still am in control of what's happening so I know I'm sane. Sometimes I also have these vivid images of myself doing something i.e when I'm in my bed going to sleep I can see my body lying in there.

Would like to hear your feelings and experiences of this horrific thing, and of course some coping skills if there is anything else than just live with it.

Peace  8)

edit. Today, an existential roulette hit me really hard. Every two seconds my keeps bouncing around with questions like "Why am I living if there is no point in anything" and "Why would someone do anything when nothing really matters". Depressive and boring ruminating thoughts

I absolutely hate the DP/DR. I feel like I am totally detached from myself. I tried to walk in the store and have to hold on to a cart to help me feel grounded or connected. Driving is really hard as I dont feel like I can keep up with the things around me and focusing is a challenge. Just the worst is watching myself or everything I do.  I have learned that refocusing myself over and over on the task and not so much on how i am feeling helps. I just get worn out.

My EMDR doctor told me that fighter pilots get DP/DR when they reach certain speeds and sometimes feel like they are sitting on the wing of the jet watching themselves fly it. I will stick to floating through the grocery store.

Good luck to you.

It am at 14 months and it actually has gotten a little better. I felt originally like I did not know myself, I did not know what I liked to eat, what kind of shows and movies I liked to watch, almost everything about me had changed and I did not know who I wanted. The DR was worse because I felt unconnected to family and friends. I had close family relationships and I felt like they were all strangers to me. It has improved and I have started to feel connected to others again.
