Klonopin Taper

[Ka...]

Recommended Posts

I am weaning down from Klonopin and could use some support.  I work full time in a fairly demanding job and right now my biggest issue is weepiness, irritability and lack of memory and concentration.  I just reduced to 1/4 of .125.  I had been on .25 for about 6-8 months for insomnia (due to menopause).  I am worried I will not be able to continue to work full time and concerned about how long I will experience withdrawal symptoms.  I am finding it difficult to cut a .5 mg tablet in four ways with any sort of accuracy.  Should I get a jewelers scale or liquid titration?  Thanks for any advice or support.

Also should I ask my doctor to switch me over to liquid valium?  Is that easier to taper off of?  A friend said since I'm at such a low dose, it's doesn't make sense now to try and cross over.  Just so so scared.

1) I would agree that at yoiur dose, there is probably no advantage to doing a cross to V.

2) And also at your dose, even the scale method would be very difficult.

3)  Liquid is definitely easier.  You can easily liquify your tablets by dissolving them in a little alcohol (vodka) or proplylene glycol, then diluting it with water/
