So I don't need the klonopin anymore for the debilitating anxiety, and I've done a 50% reduction and run into some problems. Mainly gastrointestinal, is this common? A lot of bloating and then a mix of constiption and diarrhea. I have a small increase in anxiety and now hat I'm having physical symptoms I can feel my anxiety rise even more. Will the discomfort ease quickly?

I don't mean to downplay your symptoms and I don't know the severity of your symptoms, but I think you should feel fortunate that your main symptoms are what they are considering a 50% reduction.

Most people would be suffering horrific, painful symptoms who are moderately to highly physically dependent after such a big cut.

Because you were only on it for 10 weeks sounds like you may be lucky with only a minor physically dependency, but I don't know. With a little more luck will only have to deal with the symptoms you mentioned for weeks instead of months or longer.

Maybe ask your doctor ( or try to do on your own ) to take a week or so to stabilize and/or to taper slower the second half. Some people would say to keep going at a fast rate so not to prolong the taper since you have been only on it for 10 weeks. I think it depends on the severity of your symptoms and how fast you cut the 50%.

Did you cut 50% all at one time or over time and if over time how much time did it take you to cut the 50% ? Would you describe your symptoms as minor, moderate or severe?
