hey just trying to join this forum, didnt realize it was this hard... long story short, ive been on benzo's for 10 years. been tapering for 11 months. i heard about you guys through a benzodiazipne recovery group on facebook. i joined in hopes i could learn some stuff and help some people.

Welcome to Benzo Buddies! I'm sorry you found it difficult to join the forum, but now you are here and can start to receive the information and support you need. We also look forward to your contributions.

 

It would help if you would provide additional information such as what benzo you are taking and at what dose.  Also, let us know what kind of taper plan you have been following.

 

A slow taper can help to minimize withdrawal symptoms. Generally a reduction of no more than 5-10% is suggested. I'll give you a link to the General Taper Plans for additional information.

 

I'll also give you a link to the Ashton Manual. It is an excellent resource about these types of drugs and how to withdraw. It was written by Dr. Heather Ashton, an expert in the field.
