Well I made it 6 and half months but now is over.I was hoping all the time insomnia will not come back in my WD but it did.Because of my neurological sickness I just cannot Handel not sleeping so I must start again.

Last year it happened the same.I had a very traumatic event in my life and insomnia hitted so hard nothing helped for 1 and half months i did not sleep and than xanax came and I started to sleep.

Now I tried for 3 week everything. From relaxing, meditation, sleeping hygiene, midfullness, No handy, no computer, making my self tired.Mirtazapim, melatonin and exc....Nothing.I slept 2 days ok and now again all week nothing. The strangest thing s that i want to sleep but in moment i should sleep i just woke up...I feel during the day like I lose my mind.Like I will become psychotic...I cannot do that anymore.I am scared of FFI because I already have a stragne neurological sickness.

It was nice now I must go in hell again.Thank you all for help.

Well, all I can say is at 7 months off, I would stay the course.  I wouldn't reinstate.  It's not at all unusual to have symptoms, one of which is often insomnia, at 7 months off.  Were you an insomniac (this bad) before you withdrew?  If not, or if it wasn't as bad as it is now, it will return to normal in time.  Benzo withdrawal and healing is a waiting game. TIME is the healer.

Also, multiple withdrawals can lead to kindling.  As one who kindled after three withdrawals, I'd avoid it.  For one who has kindled, each withdrawal becomes longer and more symptomatic than the previous ones.

Don't. It's the most addictive poison. Valium is poison too, but has a much longer half-life. Don't go back to the benzo hell. They've taken everything from me. Everything. No motivation, no drive, no sleep, no joy of life. Don't.

so sorry to hear about the insomnia it is a real Fu*ker!!

its amazing how hard it can be.

xanax is IMO one of the worst to use for sleep.  gives you some real rebound anxiety.  if you need to take something maybe valium is better.  dont quote me but like others say it last longer and isnt as abrupt on your mind.

hope you can stay the course but if you need some meds to help you gotta do what keeps you sane  :smitten:

If you have to use a benzo for sleep then use ambien or lunesta which have short half lives, are tailored for sleep, and preserve deep sleep. If Ambien isn't working then you probably aren't taking enough. Ashton equates 10mg ambien to 0.25 xanax.

With that said I wouldn't take a benzo for sleep until after multiple nights of insomnia have passed and I was dying. A Benzo is just going to make the situation worse.

First you should try benadryl, seroquwl, remeron, marijuana, all the natiral stuff like theanine, valerian, etc.

If you think that your life is hell now, try adding Ambien to the mix and find out what hell really is. Thanks to Ambien I was given a trip that that unpleasant place. At least it was a round tip ticket.

To suggest someone who is trying to get of benzodiazepines, to use an ambien for sleep makes me sooo upset. I'm in w/d because of ambien and I won't for my worst enemy suggest doing ambien. It's the same shit as other benzodiazepines and that is has short halflife makes it so much more durable to developing tolerance in a shorter time. THINK!!!

I had a 3 weeks monster insomnia wave, and I used atarax to turn my anxiety down and finally my body was so exhausted that I started to sleep, two hours her and there and then 3 and 2 and now I sleep mainly 6-8 hours, sometimes with a break but I'm thankful if I get at least 4 hours. I also began to make a thick smoothie before bedtime with almonds milk avocado banana coconut fat peanut butter kiwi and physilium seeds. It took away a lot of my adrenaline surges and made my body more relaxed.

Take care and 🤗 hugs

Also I learned to give a shit if I slept or not, thanks to FizzleWitch :smitten: and that took away a lot of sleep anxiety. The fear of not getting sleep are making us agitated and the adrenaline surges then gets high and imagine if u should try and sleep while a elephant was chasing you... not possible!!!

You have to stop running for what eventually will come to you sooner or later.

❤️❤️❤️

Sorry I was trying to discourage benzos as much as possible but was wondering why he would choose xanax over ambien if it had to be benzo
