Meds against chronic heart palpitations?

Hi guys,

 

I am sooo fed up with the constant heart palpitations, I have them 24/7 for about 8 years now.

 

I took propranolol for some time, which sometimes helped a bit. But I find beta blockers pretty scary, especially since I already have a low heart rate and normal blood pressure. Also, I heard getting off it can also take a long, long time.

 

Does anyone know any med against palpitations that is more or less safe?

Try lifestyle changes and take them seriously.

 

 

Don't take beta blockers, they can kill you.

 

 

I took atenolol and it almost killed me. Regret it to this day.

Thanks for the reply pushthefeeling! I tried to change my lifestyle for a long time now and f.e. take no stimulants like coffee at all, so that doesn't seem to work so far.

But I'm also not keen on taking betablockers, so I was wondering if there is any safer drug I can take. I am much against meds by now, however I would so love to have a break of those palpitations, even for a day.

Magnesium helped with mine.  It's never been one of my main symptoms just occasionally I get them after coming off benzos.

Yes and no, I meditate about 1-2 hours per day.
