memory/brain fog questions

Can someone help explain or reassurance me that this is withdrawal symptoms and will go away?

I Feel like my brain is not good at reasoning even with basic things such as addition with maths..and I don't remember much my short term memory...like if someone said something the day before, I would kind of remember but not the whole thing...also like if someone asks me questions it takes time for me to answer....I feel like this even when I was on benzo...and I always thought thats it me , who I am...OH and when it comes to new things...like to learn something new...sometimes I have to read it two or three times...I honestly do not remember how I was before benzo...but I think I wouldn't be this bad....I notice however when there are days my head is clear, everything is better...I honestly don't know if these are symptoms from xanax and paxil...

I cant tell you when it will go away because mine is still there. I also started to notice it when I was still taking the pills, but I believed taking the pills was the reason, I was sure when I stopped I would be back to normal, but then I realized it was damaged. I have bad memory, I do crazy shit, and I have zero concentration. People say it will get better so I'm wishing and hoping and praying.

Thanks Davis. Mine got worse when I was on the drugs. So I think the drugs is the number one reason too for this. I Really hope that we will heal from this. This symptoms make me feel like I am slow and NOT smart and making my confidence goes down many times when I was on Benzos....I notice however, when  I am off for 8 months..I am more calm, less sensitive and seems to be little bit of confidence...even when I can't do sometimes new I didn't get nervous or blame myself like I used to....I used to cry when I can't do something even basic things..

Yes, these are wd sxs and you will get better. I was exactly the way you describe. Sometimes I got very worried I was going to be left idiot, but mostly I could laugh at myself in my idiotism phase, kept on working on mental things, I work on materials Science. After a while, windows like yours became more often till cog fog went away. Memory issues lasted a bit more, but these al so go away.

Trust your windows. We BBs become clever again.

I still have issues with my memory and brain fog. It was way worse when I was on the xanax. Now it's slowly improving.

When I don't get sleep it is definitely more intense. I have noticed that one cup of regular coffee has been helping me. It does enhance my anxiety, but not too bad. Plus I've learned coping mechanisms for panic/anxiety...so I put them to use for a few hours after the coffee and then I'm good to go. If I really need a push, I exercise and immediately feel more clear headed/optomistic.

I know caffeine and exercise can be a slippery slope to climb, but in my opinion, the pros outweigh the cons.
