Depression and tears all day, normal?

Hi everyone. You can read my signature line for details. I am severely depressed. I can do nothing but cry all day. Literally. I am tired. It's been like this ever since I took my first Ativan months ago. I hate to be crude, but sexual relations with my husband has not happened since July. I can't be a good wife or momma. I am tired.  So tired. Right now I only take the Ativan once per day, at night to sleep. Could my depression and tears and anxiety be because of this. I take it around 8 pat night, go to bed around 9pm and wake up around 4 am, ready to cry. I can't live like this. Almost 8 months of hell, and my husband says he is about ready to give up.

Depression is tough ! Although this is My second taper from clonazepam I am no expert on tapering but having had depression My entire life Im 63 I can tell You that after having experienced benzo WD symptoms the depressive symptoms were AT TIMES just as bad. If You had pre existing depression like I did before I went on the benzo then it will make it much worse .

So IMO yes its normal to feel depressive symptoms and in some cases teary eyed at any time during this experience. I can also tell You that toward the end of My last taper three years ago the depressive symptoms lessened as the dose got smaller. Sadly if the depressive illness was there before the benzo it will be there after waiting for You so it has to be dealt with either with meds or naturally the choice is Yours.
