Alright, I know. Everyone is different. And I'm done with Google. Cool?  Ok. 14 days into quitting after a 30 day taper from K. Had been off xanax for a month. The w/d hits. Hard. The usual stuff. Headaches. Stomach messed up. Sore back etc etc. thankful that I'm not sweating and can sleep. My question is simple. When did your withdrawal start. And how long till you felt better. That's all. I know we're different. I know it's not the same for everyone. I also know the law of averages will give a pretty clear picture.  I'm on day 18. Symptoms started day 14. I've read that usually 7-10 days with daily symptoms then the hard parts over. You?

I think you are referring to the acute phase of withdrawal. That is when symptoms are their very worst.  The acute phase of withdrawal typically lasts about a month. After that it is generally a slow gradual process. It can take some months for symptoms to be gone. I would say that most of our members heal within 18 months.

Am I correct in the assumption that the w/d's are the absolute worst when you enter the acute phase and gradually get better every day?  I've been feeling this for 5 days now. I'll float in and out. Some hours float by while some grind by. All in all I'm hanging in there. Just wondering if the worst is behind me?  It's now 18 days out and on day 5 of feeling those lovely withdrawals.  I think my worst symptoms are now the headaches and mood swings. Paranoia has come and gone. Thank god. That was not pleasant. I'm sleeping fine. Light but fine. 8 hours solid but no slow wake up. Brains either on or off.

Yes, they are their absolute worst during the acute period. However, they can still be pretty rough for the early months following a CT or rapid withdrawal. Also, subsequent withdrawals can sometimes be more difficult than previous withdrawals. This does not look like your first withdrawal from them.

Lol. Yeah. Unfortunately it isn't. That was the kicker. I jumped off for about a month last year. Then something that I thought was stressful pushed me back. Now I'm off and they're worse. I'm done though. I'm thru the hardest if they're the worst in acute and probable that the first few acute days are the absolute worst....  don't wanna watch this movie a third time.

Excellent idea. Hopefully are through, or close to through, of being out of the acute phase. Typically there is some noticeable relief felt after. That is not to say you are going to feel great, but you will feel some  improvement.
