Use of Teas? Lavender Chamomile

Did the use of calming/anti-anxiety teas seem to cause a rev up in symptoms and cause setbacks? I would assume that if they affect GABA and can stimulate your mood enough to bring relief, it could be bad correct? Just like alcohol would cause rebound symptoms ? Any insight would be greatly appreciated

I'm pretty sure that I've read a few posts by people who had trouble with chamomile.  I don't recall any about lavender.  Chamomile contains the calming agent apigenin which binds to the benzo site in GABAA receptors, so probably one to avoid.  Lavender has linalool which I think targets the NMDA receptor, so maybe it's OK??

I drank herbal teas (not chamomile) during my recovery, and don't feel they bothered me.  But some people seem sensitive to those compounds.
