What do you eat...

Lotsa energy bars. I bought boxes and boxes of them.

Order in food when necessary.

When you have an ounce of energy, cook a pot full of eggs and have them handy for a quick boost of protein.

Buy a bunch of ready to eat veggies.

I am the worst person to ask that.  I order in food constantly and currently in the middle of a cookie/donut overdose.

Oh, my diet wasn't always clean during taper and WD!! I lived off kettle cooked chips for a looooong time. Pilled on the weight too.

I could hardly eat for months...just no way, but when it began to improve, my go to easy stuff was organic healthy cans of soup. Easy to dump and microwave, or heat up fast in a pan. Greek yogurt, applesauce, toast and nuts...Those were a few. Healthy frozen meals too. The best I could buy anyway

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I'm a little relieved actually. I thought everyone was eating super healthy paleo diets or something and wondering if I was doing something wrong. I have been avoiding sugar as much as I can, but otherwise just trying to eat as "healthy" as possible.

I have been eating a lot of almonds because they're easy and they're supposed to be good for rebuilding GABA.

I googled "GABA foods" and came across this web site with a list of foods that are good for GABA:

Yes, thats good! I did the same...I ate as healthy as I could, NO SUGAR or stimulants. I could'nt touch caffeine for about 6 months and kept eating very clean and simple. My gut at least felt better eating this way. It's been so long, after 2 years I forget and hey am I ever grateful about that!  :smitten:

Good luck!

I'm definitely not eating Paleo or anything like that; just trying to make better choices and staying away from MSG, sugar and a lot of artificial stuff. I'm reading labels and only buying food with ingredients that I recognize. More fruit and vegetables. I'm trying to consciously eat more one ingredient foods and drinking only filtered water.  I've switched to using coconut sugar in my decaf and I really like it. I've even done some baking with the coconut sugar and rice flour and it turned out great (simple baking; a complicated recipe would be way too overwhelming at this point). One of my happy finds has been Simply Lays potato chips!  Only 4 ingredients and yummy!!  I'm just taking baby steps toward improving my diet but every little bit helps!
