ANYONE ELSE IN UK HAD THEIR DIAZEPAM MANUFACTURES CHANGED ?

[no...]

Recommended Posts

My Diazepam was delivered and I noticed that its a totally different manufacturer to the one I've had for year's, and am very concerned as it can make a big difference in the effect and absorption of the drug to the point you may feel as if there is no Diazepam in the pill.

I'm wondering if its country wide due to NHS policies on financing or if its just my local Pharmacist cutting costs? So I need to know either way before I contact them so I know what I can or cannot do about this problem.

Hi,  I am in the US and went to pick up my prescription yesterday and I too noticed the manufacturer is different. I went online and it seems that TEVA (which was the manufacturer who've I've been using) was bought out my Mylan Pharam.

I went to the Mylan Pharam website and they say it's "identical" to the Teva pills I've been taking for over a year!  I still have some Teva ones left so I am going to intermittently substitute the Mylan ones for Teva ones to try and ensure a better, hopefully smoother crossover.

I swear it feels like one step forward and then something else comes along and puts a fork in my road!

Good luck, I know sometimes you have to call pharmacies to see if they carry your specific brand.

Hi Rhernanhtown  Mine are actually changed to TEVA  from Actavis, I looked at the ingredients and there’s one difference they both contain............................

TEVA :  Diazepam, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, maize starch , powdered cellulose

Actavis   Diazepam, lactose monohydrate , magnesium stearate, maize starch, stearic acid so its the last ones in bold that are the difference, hopefully it won't have any negative effects. But what you said is a good idea , slowly add them in and maybe that will avoid any negative impact if there’s going to be any at all, there may not be, but I'm erring on the side of caution after other buddies had withdrawal problems for this very reason.

I never thought about the mfg'er of the meds... does it really make a difference in your body what fillers they add if its the same medicine dose, in this case diazepam?

Huh, so they are a little different.  I'll have to look up the Mylan ingridents.  I don't really notice a difference in how I feel though.  Just plain old sick!
