AD not as effective as in the Past. Successful Librium Taper To Blame?

Need some input guys.  I have been off Benzo#1 for a few months now( Librium ) I was suffering so much that I finally added Zoloft a couple Months ago...and have experienced a measure of relief. However....unlike in the past...my Agoraphobia which doesnt keep me housebound but makes Long Trips away from Home very uncomfortable and Flying or driving to another  State by myself...unthinkable right now. Zoloft has ALWAYS eliminated ( Masked it ) this in the past. But though I feel better...it is absolutely not doing what it has before. I believe that being on Xanax and Librium at the same time...combined with Zoloft over the Winter Months helped me be productive and symptom free.  The ONLY thing that has changed....is no Librium. Am I thinking  clearly that this is a direct -cause and -effect?  I have not felt right since the Librium Taper. Opinions? Experiences?

Iamthird,

I personally do not have a successful history with AD's but I have talked with friends who have. They have told me that once stopping an AD and then trying to use it again does not work again like it used to. This is common with those who don't use benzos I am told. They then have to trial new ones. That is all I can offer. Hopefully you will get more responses.

This happened to me with Paxil. I know many people find Zoloft to be overstimulating and can cause anxiety in some. That's what some of my friends here tell me. I cannot tolerate any SSRi. Glad I can't.

Thanks warriorforlife....my personal  research  and Now my personal experience indicates that AD's can Not work the same after Multiple Use. Obviously the Absence of 2 Benzos at Once has either coincided and/or help Cause the present diminished effect that Zoloft gave me earlier in Life

I think the  double Benzos I was on covered up the over-stimulating with AD's you mentioned BG. Now...I too feel not only is the Zoloft not as effective...I note it is more stimulating.

I have had a pretty good history with Prozac, but that went to hell since the ativan happened.

Thanks LF.....Appreciate your comments

I think you are right. That happened to a friend of mine who was on two benzos, tapered off one of them, then took Zoloft and got anxiety. I never did like Zoloft. I took it before I took a benzo and my anxiety got  sky high.

Betsy :)
