PROUD of myself!!!!

I've just reached 10 and a half months off benzos and yesterday I woke in a nasty wave that hit me fair in the face.

Today I was booked into hospital for an epidural steroid injection due to hurting my back 8 weeks ago. (bulging disc)  When I woke this morning I was beside myself as I didn't know how I was going to get through the day.  Going out of my comfort zone when feeling so unwell is extremely hard as you all know.

I surprised myself and got through the 3 hour stay with a couple of overwhelming feelings that I got under control with some distractions. I was lucky to have a bed beside a window that I could open for some fresh air.  I was close to loosing it in theatre but I distracted myself by firing questions at the nurses and they repaid me back with questions as they knew I was getting overwhelmed.

I still can't believe that I did it.  As we were leaving I said to my husband if I can get through this I'm going to go out with  bang and go downstairs in the lift.  I aced it!!!

Home relaxing now and feeling so proud of myself.  I just wanted to share this accomplishment with everyone.

I just need to get rid of this wave now and enjoy a window without back pain.

Stay strong everyone.

Thanks Serenitee and Countingblessings.

I still don't know how I did it.  The support from my wonderful husband played a big part in it.

Today I've woken and that nasty window has lifted a bit.  I pray these kind of days hang around for a while. Life is so much easier like this.

Stay happy guys.
